Getting Started with AxG AI Sales Assistant

From sign-up to a fully trained, live AI chatbot on your store in under 5 minutes. This guide takes you through setting up your assistant, connecting it to your e-commerce platform, customizing its appearance, and activating live order tracking and visual product search.

Step 1: Create Your Assistant

  1. Sign Up: Register at ai.axelsson.graphics or start directly inside the Shopify App Store.
  2. Automatic Knowledge Crawl: Enter your website URL (e.g. https://yourstore.com). Our AI engine indexes your product catalog, stock, pricing, FAQs and store policies (/privacy, /shipping, /return-policy).
  3. Get Your Credentials: You receive your unique Agent ID (e.g. axg_ag_10482) and Client Slug in your account dashboard.

Step 2: Install on Shopify (1-Click App Embed)

Takes less than 60 seconds, no code editing required.

  1. Install the App: Install AxG AI Store Sales Assistant from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Enable App Embed:
    • In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
    • Click Customize next to your active theme.
    • Click the App Embeds icon in the left sidebar.
    • Toggle AxG AI Store Assistant Embed to ON.
  3. Save: Click Save top right. The floating chat bubble appears live on your storefront.

Pro tip: Customize launcher position (bottom-right or bottom-left) and margin offsets directly in the Shopify Theme Editor.

Step 3: Install on WooCommerce & WordPress

  1. Download & Install: Search for AxG AI Site Assistant under Plugins → Add New, or download it from WordPress.org.
  2. Activate Plugin: Click Activate.
  3. Enter Agent ID: Open AxG AI Assistant in the admin menu and paste your Agent ID.
  4. Save Changes: Click Save Settings. The widget loads automatically on all pages.

Step 4: Install on Any Other Website

For Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Magento or custom HTML/PHP sites, copy your 1-line embed snippet from the dashboard:

Paste it right before the closing </body> tag:

  • Wix: Settings → Custom Code → Add to Body – End.
  • Squarespace: Settings → Developer Tools → Code Injection → Footer.
  • Custom sites: Main template file, right above </body>.

Step 5: Make It Yours (Branding & Persona Studio)

  1. Brand Colors: Pick an accent color or enter an exact HEX code (e.g. #10B981).
  2. Theme Mode: Light, Dark, or Auto-Detect based on the shopper's device.
  3. Logo & Avatar: Upload your brand logo or a custom assistant avatar.
  4. Welcome Greeting: Set welcome messages per language (e.g. "Hej! Hur kan jag hjälpa dig med din beställning idag?").
  5. AI Sales Persona:
    • Friendly & Conversational — fashion & lifestyle
    • Professional & Direct — B2B & electronics
    • Enthusiastic Sales Specialist — promotional campaigns

Step 6: Test Core AI Features

  1. Order & Package Tracking: Type "Where is my order #1001? My email is customer@example.com". The AI returns live fulfillment status with carrier links (PostNord, DHL, DB Schenker, UPS).
  2. Product Recommendations & Carousels: Type "Do you have any snowboards or jackets in stock?" to see product cards with price, stock and 1-click Add to Cart.
  3. Visual Product Search (Silver & Gold): Click the camera icon in the chat bar and upload or take a photo — the AI suggests matching products.
  4. Multi-Language Auto-Detect: Ask in English, Swedish, German, French or Dutch — the AI replies in the customer's language.
